This image is taken from the opening sequence of a film charged with a bizarre proto-surrealism, as befitted its subject. A significant portion of the original film (8 minutes) is held by the British Film Institute, and was restored and released by them as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Alice in Wonderland’s publication in 2015.It may be viewed on the BFI website.
