We have extensive experience of packing objects for transit, both with Lloyd Ellis, and through our work in museums and in touring exhibitions.

Items are protected by padded envelopes, bubble wrap or card as appropriate. Under normal circumstance, all glass is removed from overseas shipments of pictures, and glass with any dimension measuring over 45cm will be removed for Uk shipments. In cases where glazing is original and a significant element of the work’s historic integrity, we’ll discuss options directly with you. Such works are clearly flagged in the item description.

Delivery

Delivery in the UK is free. Delivery outside the UK is at cost. If you require international delivery we will contact you via email to discuss any additional postal or carriage charges, but we will deduct the cost of internal UK postage from the final account. We would normally arrange for tracked and signed-for carriage, so please provide an address where somebody will be available to receive and sign for deliveries during working hours. Delivery usually takes 4-10 working days.

For exceptional items in terms of scale, weight etc, we will discuss the best means of delivery with you. Such items are clearly flagged on the item description.
